2019 NBA Free Agency: Miami Heat Interesting In Pairing Jimmy Butler And Bradley Beal

This 2019 NBA free agency was expected to be a quiet one for the Miami Heat, but the Florida team has made some splash in the last hours, securing one of the most coveted players in the league in Jimmy Butler, and now they plan to pair the former Chicago Bulls star with Bradley Beal at the AmericanAirlines Arena.

According to former NBA player Matt Barnes, who recently made an appearance on ESPN’s “The Jump,” the Heat are reportedly looking to pair up Jimmy Butler and Bradley Beal in South Beach this offseason.

"I'm also hearing they're [Miami Heat] trying to pair him [Jimmy Butler] with Bradley Beal,” said Barnes.

As stated before, the Heat weren’t expected to bring in players this offseason given that they don’t have any cap space to work with, but Pat Riley has made sure to trade big names in order to bring bigger ones to Miami. They already parted ways with Josh Richardson in order to bring in Butler, and now it’s highly likely that they would do the same with point guard Goran Dragic and other young assets in order to acquire Beal.

Beal is one player that Miami could use very well, as they need offensive tools and that’s exactly what this guy is. Last season he averaged 25.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 5.5 assists in 82 games last season. As for Butler, he becomes the Heat’s best two-way player, as the four-time All-Star averaged 18.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.0 assists last season between Minnesota and Philadelphia.
