Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon and former Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade recently went at it on Instagram Live following a controversy-filled 2020 Slam Dunk Contest which the former participated in.
The two ironed out their differences on Friday as Wade, who was a judge on the now infamous dunk contest, explained his decision to give Gordon a nine instead of a 10 on his final dunk.
"We didn't feel you lost the dunk contest overall," Wade said. "It was about the dunk."
Based on how they ended the conversation, Wade and Gordon appear to be in good terms now as they have set aside their differences months after the controversy began.
Gordon recently took a shot at Wade with a diss track titled, “9 Out of 10,” to call out what the Magic star believes was unfair judging on the part of the three-time NBA champion.
Heat guard Derrick Jones Jr. won last February’s hotly contested Dunk Contest in which he and Gordon appeared to be evenly matched in the final round. It came down to the last dunk of the night by Gordon that resulted in the win by Jones Jr.
Fans took to Twitter immediately as they sensed that Wade may have given Gordon the short end of the stick since Jones Jr. was a former teammate by the Heat great.
With the Instagram Live session between them finally settling the issue, fans can rest easy knowing that Gordon and Wade are not holding grudges against each other.
