Anthony Edwards Hilariously Pulls Out Flip Phone In Post-Game Press Conference

Anthony Edwards

As the 1st pick in the 2020 Draft, Anthony Edwards hasn't been around for very long, but he has already become one of the NBA's most interesting characters.

Besides being a naturally funny guy, he's the kind of person who isn't afraid to speak what is on his mind, and it's that sort of authenticity that people really appreciate nowadays.

Even when talking about Jimmy Butler, who widely regarded as a no-nonsense player, Edwards was not afraid to speak his mind:

“He ain’t finna fight nobody out there,” Edwards said, via Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic. “All that walking up on each other, that’s stuff for the birds, man. I ain’t about to fight. I don’t get into all that. That shit be fake.”

Following Monday night's win over the Indiana Pacers, Edwards had another one of his signature moments -- this time with the media, when he pulled out a flip phone in the post-game presser.

In a world where social media and internet accessibility dominate, flip phones are definitely an instrument of the past and to see a guy of Edwards' financial status yield one is practically unheard of.

Nevertheless, Ant has one and doesn't seem to have a care in the world about what people have to say about it.

For the Timberwolves, they hope the young stud can bring that same attitude and mindset to the basketball court. At just 20 years old, his game is still raw and needs a lot of work, but he has shown flashes of what he can be.

This season, he's averaging 22.1 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game on 43% shooting. The Wolves are a modest 11-10 so far, with much of the season still left to be played.

We'll see soon enough how Ant grows and adapts his game, and if that flip phone sticks with him for the remainder of the season.
