Anthony Edwards has made an impact on the NBA as soon as he landed in the association. The 2020 No. 1 overall pick is making headlines in recent days and he's not stopping anytime soon. Edwards, who was selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves last November, has made some interesting statements in recent weeks and it seems like that will be the common thing with this guy.

Talking with reporters, Edwards once again dropped his famous lines and clarified that he's smart, contrary to what a lot of people believe about him.

"I'm smarter than a lot of people think. I just look like this."

This comes after Edwards made some curious statements, even saying that he's not that into basketball as he is into football. The perception around him was that he didn't care that much about basketball and that was going to be a problem for him.

Before that, he had said something confusing and fun at the same time. During his pro day, Edwards was asked how he was handling the COVID-19 pandemic and his answer was really something else.

“I feel like the pandemic is nothing to me. I was already living in the pandemic because all I wanted to do is to get better,” Edwards said.

These types of comments are very common for him, who also revealed he wanted to have a lion but he couldn't since he didn't have a big house to get the "pet."

So far he's demonstrating that he's focused on getting better and the Minnesota Timberwolves are having a good time with this guy. So far he's averaging 13.9 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists per outing this season. This kid has a bright future both on and off the court. Every time he talks, you know he'll say something interesting.
