Ayesha Curry Reveals Steph Curry Played Wordle To Celebrate Buzzer-Beater Against The Houston Rockets

Steph Curry has been struggling of late after starting the season in undisputed MVP form. Recent games have seen Curry shoot poorly and struggle often as his Warriors team has relinquished their No. 1 seed to the surging Phoenix Suns. It seems like Curry may just have snapped his poor run though, making the game-winning shot against the Houston Rockets on Friday night at the buzzer.

Curry was quite poor on the night again, managing just 22 points in the entirety of the game. He shot just 28% from the field and barely 30% from three, struggling for large parts of the game. But sometimes, all of that doesn't matter as long as you can sink the last shot. Curry's confidence was likely boosted thanks to the buzzer-beater and now his wife Ayesha Curry has revealed he carried that streak home with him.

While some players might celebrate a game-winning shot by treating themselves to a night out or dinner, Steph chose to go home and try the internet's newest sensation out. Wordle, a word puzzle game that gives you 6 tries to figure out a 5-letter word has taken the world by storm. And Steph, in uncanny fashion, managed to back his buzzer-beater up by getting the answer to the riddle on just his 2nd try.

Getting the win against the Rockets was crucial to the Warriors, who had lost a close game against the Indiana Pacers the night before. Curry's team were 3-6 heading into the game against Houston and almost made a mess of it for themselves, getting bailed out by a huge shot by Steph.

The franchise will be hoping that this can get their star going, Curry did also have 39 points in the game against Indiana. And as long as he keeps sinking game-winning shots, Warriors fans likely won't begrudge him any of the great success he seems to be enjoying off the court with Wordle!
