Behind The Scenes: Doc Rivers Addressing His Team After Season Ending Game 6 Loss

Without a singular superstar, in a crowded Western Conference, not only did they make the playoffs by winning nearly 50 games, but they pushed the defending Champion Warriors to 6 games in the first round, playing hard and earning respect by the masses.

By all accounts, the Clips had no business going as far as they did. The Warriors knew it, the fans knew it, the media knew it, and Doc Rivers knew it. In a behind-the-scenes locker room speech, we see a very proud and honored Doc addressing and congratulating his squad despite their season-ending loss.

It was a true team effort all season long and you could tell from Rivers' talk that he couldn't be more proud. Guys like Lou Williams, Danilo Gallinari, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander provided an insane trio of offense for the team, while guys like Pat Beverley, JaMychal Green, Montrezl Harrell, and Landry Shamet did their best to display a dog-like, tough-minded defensive intensity.

Opening night, the Clippers were the biggest playoff underdogs in NBA history but were only the second team to push their series to at least six games.

In the end, it was a culmination of all the talents, brains, and hearts, a true embodiment of team basketball, that allowed them to have such a successful season. And while their performance was a great "audition" for the services of the 2019 free-agent class, they did not do it for anyone but themselves.
