Bradley Beal has nothing but good things to say about his new teammate Russell Westbrook. Brodie landed in Washington after being traded for John Wall. Westbrook had requested a trade from the Houston Rockets earlier in the offseason and the Rockets finally granted him his wish.
While everybody has said a lot of bad things about Brodie, calling him a 'bad teammate', nobody that has ever played with Westbrook has confirmed that. In fact, they have had very good things to say about the 2017 NBA MVP. His new teammate Beal is already praising Westbrook and they haven't even shared touches in D.C. yet.
"He’s a true point and I’m a true 2. I think that, in itself, makes us mesh… Everyone has in their mind that Russ is super aggressive but I love aggression," Beal said, via Fred Katz.
The shooting guard had a pretty good year last season, posting the best numbers of his career while keeping the Wizards afloat during the 2019/20 NBA season. Beal is ready to help Russ take this team to the postseason and even though nobody believes they are going to do a good job, Bradley is ready to prove the doubters wrong.
Washington expected to give it a try with John Wall and Beal this season but now the plans have changed a little bit. Russ is the new leader in town and that, at least for Beal, is a pretty good deal.
