Bradley Beal Was ‘Actively Recruiting’ Players To Join Wizards During All-Star Weekend

To say it has been a rough season for the Wizards would be an understatement.

In the midst of yet another disappointing start, multiple leaks from anonymous sources revealed the toxic situation in the locker room, all coming to blows during an exchange between John Wall and head coach Scott Brooks. Then, to cap everything off, Wall goes down with an Achilles injury after an accident in his home.

Bradley Beal, who has had to endure it all, is doing his part to build a brighter future for the team.

On Twitter, Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington revealed that Beal has been “actively recruiting” players to join the Wizards next summer during the 2019 NBA All-Star Weekend.

“Bradley Beal said he couldn’t name names, but he was actively recruiting at the All-Star game for players to join him in D.C. with the Wizards. Some guys even came up to him and asked. If you have theories, let’s hear them.”

We don't know any players, in particular, who Beal may have been recruiting. But considering who all was there, and which one of them were soon-to-be free agents, we can probably narrow it down to a few.

Either way, Beal shouldn't hold his breath. The Wizards are in a bad way right now, and unless a guy like Kevin Durant is willing to come in and fix all of that, there likely won't be a lot going on in D.C. for the foreseeable future.
