"The series is over" they said, "Warriors in 4" they said...
When Game 1 ended with a devastating defeat for the Rockets, most were ready to call the series over. Houston seemed lifeless, defeated and were playing a brand of basketball not nearly good enough to beat the Warriors.
In Game 2 though, we saw something else.
Ball movement was the story and was a major reason guys like Eric Gordon, PJ Tucker, and Trevor Ariza combined for 68 points in the 127-105 win over Golden State. Still, CP3 and Harden did their jobs, combining for 43. Overall, it was a complete team effort, which completely contrasted the first Game of this coveted first-round matchup.
On the Warriors side, Kevin Durant was the only consistent scorer of the game... with Steph, Draymond and Thompson struggling to find their groove.
With the series headed to Oakland on Sunday, many questions remain regarding the fate of this matchup. How will the Warriors respond after getting sucker-punched in the throat? Is the health of Curry and Paul really in doubt? Can the Rockets steal a game in Oracle Arena?
With so many matters still to be determined, this series is finally starting to shape up to everyone's expectations.
