Carmelo Anthony spent the first part of this season trying to make a comeback to the league but he was unlucky. It seemed like teams were blackballing him until the Portland Trail Blazers made the call and signed Melo. Now the veteran is showing he still got it and can be helpful to any team in the league. During the first three games in the bubble, Anthony has been just great, showing up in crunch time, making the shots to keep his team afloat and get the wins.
On Tuesday, the Blazers faced the Houston Rockets and Melo once again had a great night, sinking clutch shots to take his team to claim that much-needed win. Everybody was in awe with Melo after that since he proved he is clutch regardless of the time he spent without playing in the league.
The player has a good explanation for that, saying 'if you have it, you have it,' which appears to be his case.
"Honestly, I don't think you lose that, if you have it, you have it," Melo told a reporter on Wednesday. "It's something that you have to want to do. You have to be willing to put yourself in those situations and enjoy those moments and take those shots and believe that you can make those shots. Making those shots, not in an arrogant way, is something that I always enjoy that moment and I still do enjoy that moment. My teammates deliver me, give me the ball and all I have to do is deliver and I've been doing that."
Well, he has been doing that and Melo doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon. The forward is in great shape, he plays for a team that gives him the ball and he can do the job behind Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum. Anthony is rejuvenated and seeing how his team is playing, be careful because they can shock a lot of people.
