The basketball world has gone mad online after Zion Williamson went down with a knee injury in a regular season match with Duke. The young star suffered a knee sprain along with having his show ripped open during Wednesday’s night loss to rival North Carolina.
Many believe that the highly fancied future number one draft pick should not be wasting his time playing College basketball for Duke and instead should be just waiting for the NBA.
However, Charles Barkley has spoken out on the matter on TNT Thursday Night basketball and has gone against all those people who are saying he shouldn’t be playing.
“When we did get to the point where all we care about is money?” Barkley said. “… When did we get to the point where you’ve got clowns on television saying ‘oh, don’t play.’ That’s what you do. … That’s what we do, we play basketball.
"I don’t ever want to see anybody gets hurt. This kid looks like he’s going to be a fantastic player, but I get so mad when people act like money’s the only thing that matters in the world. Like ‘oh dude, you’re going to go in the NBA, don’t play.’ That’s ridiculous.”

The injury is luckily not too severe for Zion Williamson, the injury diagnosed as a Grade 1 sprain meaning it will be listed as day-to-day.
Williamson has been able to attract a lot of people to Duke matches including LeBron James and Former U.S President, Barack Obama. The big man is well and truly expected to be drafted by the team who lands the first overall pick in the draft.
