Charles Barkley's Mom After Charles Ruined His Clothes: 'Son, You're Just Dumber Than A Rock.'

Charles Barkley has a lot of anecdotes from his playing days in the NBA. Chuck had a very good career and his impact on and off the court is hard to match. You can say his best stories come from the court but he recently shared one that will make everybody laugh and relate to his situation.

When he was young and had to live by himself, Chuck had a hard time with doing the laundry. He kept messing his clothes up until his mother came in and explained what he was doing wrong. During a recent edition of 'The Steam Room' podcast, Barkley shared the story of how his mother taught him how to pick the clothes for laundry.

"I called my mom, I said 'my clothes keep getting ruined... my whites got different colors on them.' She says 'you are separating the colors, right?' I said 'what do you mean? Mom, you just throw everything in the washing machine.' She said 'son, you're dumber than rocks,'" Chuck recalled while laughing.

As he said, we all have been there and have done that. That's almost an initiation ritual for young people, including Charles Barkley. Fortunately, he was just one call away from learning that you don't have to throw all the clothes to the washing machine. You have to separate clothes in colors, kids.
