Chet Holmgren was one of the best players in college basketball this year, suiting up for the Gonzaga Bulldogs this year. During his time in the NCAA, he has shown that he is an elite defensive prospect, possessing elite defensive instincts as well as a lengthy frame. He is also a player that has perimeter skills offensively. There are a lot of people that have suggested that Chet Holmgren should be the No. 1 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft due to his two-way potential.

One of the concerns about Chet Holmgren from doubters is due to him being a skinny prospect as compared to others. A lot of people have suggested that he should be lifting weights and eating more.

Recently, in an interview with Jenny Fischer, Chet Holmgren was asked about the "one thing" that everyone should know about him. Chet Holmgren had an amazing response, stating that he wants people to know that he actually does lift weights and eat. Patrick Redford of Defector shared Fischer's Tweet in an article that also detailed just how unique Holmgren was as a prospect:

There has never been a prospect like Holmgren. Physically speaking, he resembles Pokusevski more than any other player, though Holmgren has a pretty serious track record of being a game-changing defender, a reasonably skilled offensive player, and a surprisingly tough player for someone so lanky. He averaged 3.7 blocks and shot 39 percent from three, which is a rather unholy combination of stats.

While there definitely are some concerns about Chet Holmgren, it is quite likely that the potential No. 1 pick will be a productive NBA player for years to come. While sometimes being skinny is a problem for certain prospects, there have also been prospects that have succeeded despite being of lower weight.

If Chet Holmgren does get selected as the No. 1 pick in this draft, he will be going to the Orlando Magic. That would be a solid developmental situation for him, as he will have plenty of playing time. A recent report by Adrian Wojnarowski suggested that Chet Holmgren and Jabari Smith are the two players that are currently competing to be the No. 1 overall pick. It is likely that Chet Holmgren will find a way to shine no matter where he lands though, and we'll have to wait to see if the Orlando Magic end up picking him.
