Damian Lillard Reacts To Fan Who Says Duncan Robinson Is A Better Catch And Shooter Than Klay Thompson

Duncan Robinson was nothing short of spectacular this season, averaging 13.5 points per game for the Heat as one of the NBA's best shooters.

In fact, his record-setting stroke from beyond the arc has him drawing comparisons to Golden State swingman Klay Thompson.

Considering Robinson broke the world record on catch and shoot efficiency rating with 46.2%, some would say it's a fair comparison. But Blazers guard Damian Lillard shot that down pretty quick.

It should be noted that Robinson's 2019-20 campaign is better than Klay's career-high, statistically, in 3-point attempts, 3-three-pointers made, and 3-point field goal percentage. Duncan also averaged less than 30 minutes per game.

Still, Klay is a 3x NBA Champion who once scored 60 points on 11 dribbles. With his partner-in-crime (Steph Curry), the two combine to form the greatest shooting backcourt in the history of mankind. Right now, Klay's resume just demands more respect than some are giving, something that Damian Lillard (who has faced off against the Warrior multiple times) recognizes.

The good news is, Klay should get a chance to prove this himself on the court next season when he is due to return from a torn ACL he suffered in the 2019 Finals. After a year-long hiatus to rest and get healthy, he and the Warriors will be back with a vengeance.

Let's just hope it is not Duncan Robinson who stands in their way.
