Danilo Gallinari is known as a very solid role player: he provides rebounding and scoring off the bench, and is well known for his sharpshooting. Gallinari put up 11.7 PPG, 4.7 RPG, and 1.5 APG with the Atlanta Hawks during the 2021-22 season, also averaging 38.1% from 3PT range.

Earlier in the offseason, Danilo Gallinari was traded from the Atlanta Hawks to the San Antonio Spurs, as part of the Dejounte Murray trade. He then was bought out by the team. It seems as though he has picked a new destination. Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN has recently revealed that Danilo Gallinari has signed a 2-year deal with the Boston Celtics.

After clearing waivers, free agent F Danilo Gallinari has agreed on a two-year, $13.3M deal with the Boston Celtics, his agent Michael Tellem of @excelbasketball tells ESPN. Deal is fully guaranteed and includes a player option.

There is no doubt that adding another shooter is a benefit for the Boston Celtics. There were times in their recent playoff run where their role players missed open 3PT shots, and Gallinari is a player that can punish defenses for zoning in on Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

The Boston Celtics will be looking to get back to the NBA Finals in the 2022-23 season, and this move will certainly improve their chances of doing so. Hopefully, Danilo Gallinari has a productive season with the team, and we'll see how well he ends
