Danny Green And Dwight Howard Reveal Their All-Time Lakers Starting 5

After appearing on the "Take It There" talk-show with Taylor Rooks, Danny Green and Dwight Howard were asked a question almost ever Lakers has been asked: who are the best to ever don the Purple and Gold?

While their lists were mostly the same, the differences came in the front court, where Dwight Howard went a little-more traditional.

“At point guard, Magic Johnson,” the Lakers big said. “Two guard, Kobe Bryant. Three, I gotta go LeBron (James). Four, Shaq (Shaquille O’Neal). Five is Kareem (Abdul-Jabbar).

Green replaced Shaq and Kareem with Anthony Davis and James Worthy.

“I’ll take a different route,” Green said as he started his list. “I’m gonna go with Magic at one, Kobe at two, LeBron at three, A.. at four, and a lot of people aren’t going to like this, but I’m going to go with Big Game James (James Worthy) at five.”

Honestly, it's just a matter of preference. So many greats have passed through the franchise that almost every Top-5 list is going to exclude someone who has a good case.

While the outlook for this season is still up in the air, Green, Howard, and the 2020 Lakers are looking to immortalize the team once again by starting off the decade with a Championship win. Obviously, with so many obstacles in the way already, that's going to be a lot easier said than done.
