Ben Simmons and the Philadelphia 76ers have big aspirations this season. And while meeting them won't be easy, there is optimism that they might finally have what it takes to push them over the top.
Of course, the key will be Simmons himself, whose development and growth as a player will have a major impact on what they'll be able to accomplish this season.
The good news for Philly fans is, one of Simmons' greatest limitations (long-distance shooting) seems to be an area he has improved...
Perhaps the biggest issue for Ben might just be confident. It's no secret that the coaching staff and fans have been trying to get him to shoot the ball consistently for some time now, and he has been understandably reluctant.
But if he can develop a consistent jumper and improve as a shooter, it could do a lot to propel the Sixers to a good standing in the East. This season, the 24-year-old star is averaging 15.3 points, 8 rebounds, and 5.7 assists on 58.6% shooting. At this point, he has yet to attempt a single shot from beyond the arc.
