Danny Green Thinks Kawhi Leonard Will Stay In Toronto

No one knows Kawhi Leonard better on the Toronto Raptors roster than former Spurs teammate Danny Green, and according to the one-time champion, Leonard will have a hard time leaving Toronto next offseason.

Green was traded alongside Leonard to the Raptors in the trade that sent DeMar DeRozan to the San Antonio Spurs, and given how long he's played alongside Leonard in San Antonio, he'd have the best grasp on what Leonard may do next summer when he becomes a free agent.

"I don't know where his mind is at for the future. I can't predict or tell you. I can just tell you that the city of Toronto is gonna be hard to turn down after being there," Green said on his Inside the Green Roompodcast, via Wael Saghir of The Score. "I've been going every summer for the past 10-plus years. It's a great city, and the fans are amazing."

Danny Green will also become a free agent alongside Leonard at the end of next season, the only difference being Leonard will have a player option for 2019-20.

Multiple reports have made it clear that before being traded, the 2014 Defensive Player of the Year was intent on heading to the Los Angeles Lakers, either via trade or when he hits free agency, so it'll be interesting to see where his priorities lie once his debut season with the Toronto Raptors finishes.
