Brandon Ingram did not depart from the Lakers on good terms. The franchise saw him as a failure, and he felt as though they had given up on him. The mid-season trade to New Orleans only proved that point correct.
As he prepares for the season ahead with the Pelicans, nobody quite knows what to expect from him.
But if we are to believe the words from Pelicans Executive Vice President David Griffin, Ingram could be in store for a breakout season. Griff brought up his name as one who impressed during pre-season camp.
Ingram is still very young and has plenty of time to blossom into the star L.A. thought he would be. But so far, things have not looked promising. After starting off last season with a fight, and subsequent suspension, he failed to step up as the second-star behind LeBron.
With Zion, Redick, and the rest of his new crew, B.I. has been given a fresh start and a new chance to prove he is capable of being an NBA star. Hopefully, he answers the call.
