Miami Heat guard Dion Waiters isn’t living the best hours of his career, starting with his role in the preseason, and his one-game suspension for conduct detrimental to the team. Waiters, instead of taking the punishment quietly, made another decision that has sparked a lot of comments around the player and his team.
He didn’t miss the chance to try to bash his head coach Erik Spoelstra as well as his teammate Tyler Herro on social media.
Dion took a shot at Spoelstra, saying he won two titles only because he had LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade with him while mocking comments stating Tyler Herro was a better player than him.
Waiters isn’t happy with Spoelstra using him in limited minutes off the bench in the preseason. Meanwhile, Herro got multiple starts and saw a sizable role despite coming off the bench.
This is a situation that looked easier than it turned out to be, but the NBA always finds a way to surprise everybody. Waiters will try to find a good form in the league after a couple of injury-plagued seasons, but it doesn’t look like he’s going to do that with the Heat.
