To say that Dion Waiters has always been one of the most controversial players around the league could be an understatement. He's often in the midst of a story and not always for the best reasons, even though no one can deny his talent.

That's why, for some fans, it's hilarious to know that it's likely that Dion Waiters is going to get an NBA Championship ring this season regardless of if the Los Angeles Lakers or Miami Heat win the ring this season.

How's that? Well, even though he barely played, Waiters actually started the season as a member of the Miami Heat before being traded to the Memphis Grizzlies in the Andre Iguodala trade, later waived, and eventually signed by the Los Angeles Lakers.

Waiters even took it to an Instagram post to laugh it off, as he knows he's already assured his first-ever NBA ring after this season.

Waiters played just 3 games with the Miami Heat this season. He didn't report with the team due to an alleged illness and was later spotted on a boat, and was also suspended for eating edibles in the team's plane.

Thus far, he hasn't been much of a factor for the Los Angeles Lakers either, making just 7 appearances and averaging roughly over 11 points per game on 23.6 minutes a night. However, he's currently on the sidelines with a nagging groin injury.

That only makes this power move by him even more hilarious. The guy literally didn't want to be there, did whatever he wanted, got paid, and then joined a Championship contender. You may love or hate Dion Waiters and for very good reasons but you can't take that ring away from his finger.
