Dwyane Wade On Kobe Bryant's Game Winner On Him In 2009: "Luckiest Shot Ever... One-Legged Fadeaway On Top Of The Key, It Was Such A Kobe Moment."

Kobe Bryant is one of the best players of all time. One of Kobe's signature calling cards was his ability to make the most impossible shots at the last second. Bryant is considered one of the clutchest players of all time, and Dwyane Wade got to witness this first hand in 2009.

In a very competitive game between the Miami Heat and the Los Angeles Lakers, Kobe Bryant received the ball off the inbounds and took the ball to the edge of the key, while being guarded by Dwyane Wade. Wade was a decent defender and wanted to stop Kobe from putting the Lakers ahead.

That would end up being futile, as Kobe made a very difficult shot to make the three-pointer, thus giving the Lakers the lead and the win. Wade called the shot 'the luckiest shot ever' and said that it was something only Kobe Bryant could do. Despite the loss, Wade couldn't do anything but marvel at Kobe's greatness.

“Luckiest shot ever. Kobe Bryant hit the game winner on me. One legged fadeaway on top of the key, it was such a Kobe moment. I actually couldn’t be that mad because I looked said and said, ‘It’s Kobe’.”

Kobe and Dwyane Wade were very similar players. At that point, both were exceptional shooting guards who had played and won NBA championships with Shaquille O'Neal. And during their peak, they had some intense battles, always bringing the best out of each other.

Bryant even played full-court defense on Wade during one of their games, something that was very rarely seen in the NBA at that time. Wade is considered one of the best shooting guards in NBA history, as is Kobe. And this game-winner gave fans to see two of the best go at it.
