Dwyane Wade had the chance to share touches with some of the greatest players in the history of basketball. The former Miami Heat star has revealed who his starting five would be if he could draw up one squad from his tenure in the league.
During an interview with Complex’s Alex Wong, Wade lays out who his five would be, starting with himself as the playmaker.
“It’s gotta be the guys I won championships with,” Wade said. “Ray Allen at the two, LeBron at the three, Bosh at the four and Shaq at center. And we’d have Udonis Haslem as the sixth man.”
That would be a great squad, for sure. Wade lived the best times of his career with the Heat, so it’s not crazy to see that he picked four former Miami players for his All-Time squad. He welcomed LeBron and Bosh to the AAA to create a very talented big three. With these two guys, he won two championships, while Shaq helped him win the first one back in 2006.
Allen is well remembered for the shot he made against the San Antonio Spurs to force a Game that saw the Heat claiming their second consecutive ring.
It’s odd to see Wade picturing himself as a point guard, but seeing the talent of this team, that wouldn’t be a problem.
