Dwyane Wade Says This Is A Bad Year For The Lakers But A Very Good One For LeBron James

The Los Angeles Lakers geared up to face the Dallas Mavericks without LeBron James in their most recent fixture. As expected, the Mavs comfortably defeated the Purple and Gold in regulation time.

Following this defeat, the Lakers have dropped to the 11th seed and are currently not even in a position to qualify for the play-in tournament. With James recovering from an injury, it is becoming even more evident that the Lakers might actually miss the postseason.

Keeping that in mind, it would be an understatement to label this season just as "bad" for the Lakers. At the same time, James has had one of the best seasons of his career, sadly his efforts haven't produced the ideal results for his team.

Speaking of the contrast between how the Lakers have played this season and how James has played, former NBA superstar Dwyane Wade shared his two cents.

Via EssentiallySports:

"This is a bad year for the Lakers organization. But this is a very good year for one LeBron James. Let’s take out the positives of the season. In his 19th year, we have never seen a man do what LeBron James is doing. So individually, this is a great year for him. He continues to put himself in places that no one else has really gone in this game."

Like Wade pointed out, James is having an amazing year. He is one of the frontrunners to take home the 2022 NBA scoring title at the age of 37. Additionally, James also passed Karl Malone for second place on the NBA's all-time scoring list.

But even after all his efforts, there is a very slim chance now that the Lakers will even make it to the play-in tournament, let alone the playoffs. Can LeBron James somehow pull off a miracle in the remaining games of the season?
