Everything Hinges On One Man For The Lakers To Acquire LeBron

Paul George Wanted To Play For Lakers, But They Never Traded For Him

The Paul George sweepstakes are in full swing, and the entire league is in on trying to figure out where he’ll end up. So far, the only options appear to be Oklahoma City and LA, with Houston as a long-shot contender. Wherever his choice leads him, it will, no doubt, make things interesting for the team that lands him.

But PG13’s upcoming free agency is more than about just him. For LeBron James, and other free agents, where PG lands could impact their decisions. In fact, according to the latest report, James might make his decisions based on the status of George.

In the report, USA Today claims that Bron’s chances of becoming a Laker drop if PG resigns with OKC. Considering Kawhi Leonard is likely not on his way, either, it would leave the Lakers 0/3 on superstars this offseason.

So, if the first domino doesn’t fall in LA’s favor, it could mean severe consequences for the purple and gold.
