Michael Jordan is known for many things, his dominance, his will to win and his sheer and undeniable basketball ability. All of these are wonderful things that have earned Jordan great admiration from across the world. However, he is also known for one of his vices, in particular, MJ's affinity toward gambling is something his detractors have often used as a stick to beat him with.

Jordan spoke about it in his documentary on Netflix, 'The Last Dance', explaining that he loves the feeling of winning so much that it has led him to greatly enjoy gambling. Regardless, the jokes about it have persisted since, with the internet awash in memes regarding Jordan wanting to gamble on anything and everything he possibly can.

Another notable aspect of his personality is the fact that MJ doesn't make too many public appearances. This meant that when he turned up for All-Star Weekend in Cleveland, everyone was amazed and excited to see him. However, NBA fan Alex on Twitter was quick to relate his appearance to his interest in gambling.

The joke is based around a photo from the locker room for Team Durant, where NBA stars were playing a card game. There is quite a bit of money on the table as well, which is exactly up MJ's wheelhouse, by his admission in 'The Last Dance'. So it's no surprise that fans have been quick to make these new Jordan memes.

The jokes are slightly in poor taste, considering that speculation about Jordan's gambling has ended up being quite hurtful for the NBA legend throughout his career. Rumors about his father's tragic passing and his hiatus from the league have been associated with his affinity for the activity, something that has caused MJ quite a bit of pain. While this photo is all in good humor, it's unlikely that the current NBA stars would be able to handle a few rounds with the GOAT himself.
