2020 hasn't been easy for anyone. Amid a worldwide pandemic, financial difficulties, and social justice protests, a lot of people are struggling to cope financially, mentally, and physically.
So when LeBron James complained about having to show up in Orlando (going so far as to compare it to being in "prison"), people did not take it very well.
LeBron James and the Lakers are going to be staying in a five-star hotel, complete with service, meals, and entertainment of all different kinds. In these times, that's more than can be said for a lot of folks who are struggling to hold a job or even stay alive.
James isn't the only one, either. Damian Lillard and Isaiah Thomas have each posted complaints about their experience in Orlando.
For whatever reason, it seems these players are dreading the continuation of this season. Despite being in Orlando, earning millions, and staying in quality hotels, they feel the need to share their living conditions as if it's any worse than the ordinary person is used to.
Needless to say, nobody is really feeling sorry for these guys, especially because they didn't have to return at all.
But for guys who make millions and can afford to live like royalty, they might feel uncomfortable without all the amenities they are used to having every day. I guess we can't blame them for that.
