Cavs fans and Warriors haters, you'll be pleased to hear this one.
A former Cavalier and teammate of LeBron James, Dahntay Jones, has announced that two-time champion and two-time MVP Steph Curry is NOT a top 10 player in the NBA right now.
"I’ve got him on the outside – like 11, 12," Jones said in regards to Curry on "Mickstape," a sports podcast.
Now, other than the fact that he holds a two-time MVP outside the top 10 players in the league, you can tell Jones is biased because he's faced the Warriors 3 times in the Finals.
Who does make Jones' top 10 then if Curry isn't in there? For starters, The top three are LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard, and Kevin Durant, pretty normal.
The rest of his list includes players like Paul George, John Wall, and Karl-Anthony Towns ranking above Curry, which is getting closer to the ridiculous side.
Some NBA fans may actually agree with Jones, considering Curry to be a glorified shooter and someone who can offer nothing else when his shot isn't falling like he's used to.
That analysis is obviously incorrect, as Curry has proven he offers much more on the basketball court than just outside shooting, even if his production slows when the NBA Finals roll around.
But everyone IS entitled to their opinion, even Jones, even if that opinion is objectively wrong.
