The Cleveland Cavaliers have been one of the biggest surprises of the season. They are currently 3rd in the Eastern Conference with a 30-19 record. There's no question that the franchise has had an amazing resurgence with young players such as Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, and Jarrett Allen at the forefront.
Giannis Antetokounmpo's Milwaukee Bucks were recently defeated by the Cleveland Cavaliers, with a final score of 99-115. As a result of that, Giannis Antetokounmpo has given respect to the Cleveland Cavaliers, claiming that the Cavaliers aren't the team they were in "past years" and added that they are "fighting for the title themselves".
This is not the Cleveland that we knew in the past years. Like, they're a very good team... It's a team that we got to be careful of, scout better, we gotta make sure we respect them more now. Because they're a playoff team and they're fighting for the title.
There is no doubt that the Cleveland Cavaliers have shocked many with the fantastic basketball they've been playing, especially since they're running a lineup featuring two big men with Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen. Point guard Darius Garland has been the driving force behind the team, and there are many who believe that Garland should be an All-Star selection this season.
It remains to be seen how well the Cleveland Cavaliers will do come the postseason. The playoffs are a different game from the regular season, and the youth on their roster means that they are inexperienced. They do however have Kevin Love on the roster as their 6th man, so perhaps he can help the team prepare for the tough games in the playoffs. While most people won't agree with Giannis Antetokounmpo's suggestion that the Cleveland Cavaliers are title contenders, it'll definitely be fun to see the young talents on the team in the postseason.
