The Golden State Warriors, as a franchise, have seen remarkable growth over the last decade or so. Thanks to their talented front office, the team has pretty much never made a bad decision. Thus, they are now one of the most valuable franchises in the NBA.
Apart from the front office, the majority of the credit goes to Steve Kerr, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Andre Iguodala. These names have been associated with the Warriors even before they were close to becoming a dynasty.
But in the last 12 years, they have never given up on the Dubs and now have four rings each to their name. So much so that in the last 12 years, the Warriors have increased their net worth from just $450 Million to $5.6 Billion. Now that's what you call growth.
We are sure you must be wondering how the Dubs did it? Well, the Kevin Durant-owned venture "Boardroom" recently explained that with a simple graphic on their Instagram page.
Looking at this interesting graphic, it is clear that when Joe Lacob and Peter Guber purchased the team; they had a clear idea of what they wanted to do with the franchise.
They executed it slowly over the years and the end result is that the team has been to six NBA Finals in the last eight seasons. Moreover, in those six NBA Finals appearances, the Warriors have managed to lift the Larry O'Brien trophy four times.
Moving forward, with Steph and the rest of the core still having at least a couple more years left in them, they are surely on the path to doing even greater things. The way that the Dubs played this season, it won't be a surprise if they can win at least a couple more rings in the near future.
