The careers of both Isaiah Thomas and Kyrie Irving will forever be tied together through their stays in the NBA. Kyrie was drafted with the first pick of the 2011 NBA draft, whereas IT was selected with the last pick of the same draft.
More importantly, both players were involved in one of the major trades this past offseason, as Irving was shipped from Cleveland to Boston in exchange for Thomas, as well as Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic, and Brooklyn's 2018 first-round pick.
Despite all that both players have gone through, and how competitive the pair are, especially against each other, there doesn't seem to be much love lost between the two point guards, as the two met with each other after the Cavs-Celtics game to have a quick chat, which Isaiah later revealed the topic of.
It's great to see that there's no animosity between the two after the trade went down, as Thomas was loved by the Celtic faithful and he was equally in love with Boston himself.
Unfortunately, IT didn't end up playing in the game against Boston, as it came only a night removed from his return against the Portland Trail Blazers, so we'll have to wait until February to hopefully see Kyrie and Isaiah finally face off for their new teams.
