Isaiah Thomas is years removed from his All-Star seasons in Boston. After several trades, a few injuries, and some bad luck, I.T is facing an uncertain future.
Currently a free-agent, the path to an NBA return is still very unclear. Still, Thomas is confident he can make his way back.
His latest stint was in Washington, where he played a total of 40 games for the Wizards before being traded to the Clippers. Just moments after the deal went down, L.A. promptly released Isaiah, sending him to free-agency where he has been ever since.
At 31-years-old, Thomas should have plenty of quality years ahead of him. But there are significant questions about his game.
At 5-9, 185 pounds, I.T often struggles to stop opponents on the defensive end. On offense, he's not really known for his playmaking and is recognized as more of an isolation ball-stopped than anything else. Are his limitations worth it for what he can provide offensively?
He's sure that they are, but we'll see if other teams share that mindset when (if) the NBA season finally returns.
