Isaiah Thomas hasn't played an NBA game in almost one year after he was traded from the Washington Wizards to the Los Angeles Clippers at the trade deadline. Thomas was waived by the Californians two days after his arrival in LA and has been looking for a new chance in the league ever since that moment.
His best years are part of the past now but Thomas has always been confident that he can make a good addition to any team in the association, including the organization where he spent the best years of his career, the Boston Celtics. Thomas was a problem in the Eastern Conference during his days with the C's and now he wants to return to the team that gave him so much joy.
The Celtics' second unit has been struggling to score and IT knows that's a role he could fulfill if given the chance. Recently, he took to Twitter to express his desire to reunite with his former team and help it reach a good level again.
"I could definitely help with that! Ima just keep workin though," Thomas wrote.
He was named twice to the All-Star game during his time with the Celtics and was even considered part of the MVP conversation. Thomas was nothing but great with the team until they decided to part ways with him in the trade that brought Kyrie Irving to the TD Garden. After that, Thomas' career hasn't been the same; he wandered around the league trying to find his place in the world without success.
Perhaps a reunion with the Celtics is what his career needs but nothing is certain right now.
