Jalen Rose Says This Will Be Kyrie Irving’s Final Season With The Celtics

Kyrie Irving

There is a big question mark hanging over Kyrie Irving when it comes to where the Celtics All-Star will be playing next season. Irving committed to re-signing with the Celtics prior to the start of the season but has since changed his mind as he tells reporters not to ask him until July 1st.

The Celtics are an extremely talented side right now with a massive chance of making it to the NBA Finals this season but there’s been a question about whether they play well as a team or not.

On the latest episode of ESPN’s “Get Up!”, Jaylen Rose made his opinion clear on the matter saying that Irving will not be with the Celtics next season. Rose explained the problems that Brad Stevens is currently facing and that this would be Irving’s last season with the Celtics.

The 26-year-old is still in the absolute prime of his career and without Kyrie, the Celtics chances of a championship look just about over. How the Boston Celtics go in the postseason may have a big impact on where Kyrie will play in the 2020 season.

The Los Angeles Lakers and the New York Knicks are two of the teams that Kyrie has been linked to as a possible destination for next season. If he has championships and success in mind, it may be smarter to stick with the Celtics even if he is throwing away an opportunity to reunite with LeBron.

The Kyrie Irving decision will be one of the most important decisions for the Boston Celtics as they also look to make a trade at the end of the season for Anthony Davis. If Kyrie wants to play elsewhere, it’s unlikely that AD will be wanting to sign a long-term contract.

The post season will sure be a massive couple of months for the Boston Celtics.
