Jamal Murray and the Denver Nuggets had to fight with all they have to eliminate the Utah Jazz led by Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert. They won a hard-fought match, 80-78, with Mike Conley missing the last shot of the game, which would have given the Jazz the victory to finish one of the most entertaining playoffs series we've seen in recent years.
Murray and co. gave everything they have but now their focus is on a different team, the Los Angeles Clippers. Murray is ready for the challenge, but he didn't expect it to be so close; after the game, he had a little chat with Scott Van Pelt, who 'revealed' they were back in action on Thursday, taking on Kawhi Leonard, Paul George and the dangerous Clippers.
Murray didn't know anything and he couldn't believe they were going to play again in two days. He's visibly confused and kind of disappointed and called the situation a 'bummer'.
The Canadian player left all his heart and soul on the court. He showed up when his team needed him, recording several 40+ point games in the series, becoming one of the most famous faces in the bubble.
Now, one imagines the challenge will be harder; the Clippers are rested after they eliminated the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday while the Nuggets will have only two days to prepare to face this powerhouse. This is expected to be a great duel and Murray is ready to play, although he'd prefer to have more days to rest and prepare for this matchup.
