James Harden has been the subject of countless trade rumors over the past couple of weeks. And while questions remain about Harden's impact on the culture, tonight was exactly the kind of showing he needed to remind everyone just what he is capable of on the basketball floor.

Following H-Town's overtime loss, in which Harden dropped 44 points on 54% shooting, he talked about the ceiling of his current team, possibly indicating he may be sticking around to see things through.

Even amid all the controversies, the Rockets were able to take a fully healthy Portland squad to overtime without three of their top four players (John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, and Eric Gordon). Harden looked engaged and ass good as he always has, stepping up in the clutch to give his team a chance down the stretch.

Needless to say, it was a good day to be a Rockets fan, and even Harden himself seems to acknowledge there is some real potential there. We'll see if it's enough to warrant a commitment.
