As soon as Frank Vogel landed in Los Angeles, he tried to change things for the Los Angeles Lakers. The head coach along with GM Rob Pelinka tried to spark things a little bit for the Lakers, creating a friendly atmosphere for the players, full of camaraderie and with zero tensions between teammates. They bonded and that got them to be the best team in the league before the shutdown and now in the bubble, they're trying to do the same.
It's been reported that they visit a teammate's room every night to play games and do other activities and Jared Dudley has revealed which player has the best room on the Lakers roster. He didn't pick one, but he praised several, including Dion Waiters, Kyle Kuzma, LeBron James and Anthony Davis' given their different styles.
“Dion’s got a great vibe to his room, different hookah,” Dudley said, via Lakers Daily. “Bron has OCD, where it’s super clean and very nice and spacious. Kuz has the night cap of the stars and all that. It depends on what kind of vibe you’re going for. I like AD’s and Bron’s rooms, because they got the candles. I had my wife send me some candles. I got my room smelling good now.”
LeBron James recently hinted off-court issues were happening to the team but they're hoping these activities can release any tension between players and help the team focus on their goal, winning the championship in October. They are working to improve that, especially now that the challenge is different; they are still waiting for a rival in the first round of the playoffs in their first appearance in the big party since 2013.
Now it's time to get closer to their teammates and focus all their attention on the championship.
