If there was any doubt about Jimmy Butler's dislike for Karl-Anthony Towns, then I think it's all settled now with his latest Instagram activity.
The Miami Heat superstar liked a video of Karl-Anthony Towns and Joel Embiid going at it on Wednesday night, followed by a post in which Embiid mentioned Butler over the infamous incident with the third-stringers.
Let's remember Butler took four third-stringers to go play vs. Towns, Wiggins, and the rest of the Timberwolves starters when he was still in Minnesota, and constantly called him out because of his apparent lack of character.
Butler considered the Timberwolves' young players as soft guys and wanted no part of it, being traded to Philadelphia before leaving for the Miami Heat.
Moreover, there were even some rumors pointing that Butler had been with Town's girl during his time at Minnesota, and that was one of the reasons why he forced his way out of the team.
Butler played with both All-Stars and clearly developed some strong rapport with Embiid, something that's natural considering they both enjoy getting into their opponents' heads, are born trash-talkers, and aren't going to be bodied around or bullied on the court.
Jimmy is no stranger to controversies and drama, but he decided to start a process of his own by joining Erik Spoelstra and the Miami Heat, even though he would've had a bigger shot at the Championship if he decided to stay in Philadelphia.
However, Jimmy Buckets is a competitor and he won't take the easy way out, as he wanted to be the team's lone superstar and lead them back to the top of the Eastern Conference.
So, it will be interesting to see how Butler performs when he faces the Timberwolves again this season, because we all know he's got Towns' number and will do whatever it takes to poke him from start to finish.
