Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat have faced a lot of adversity in their road to the Finals. And, sitting in a 1-0 hole in the Finals against the West's best team, they find themselves facing a little more.
Game 1 featured a pretty dominant showing by L.A., as the combined powers of LeBron James and Anthony Davis charged the Lakers to a blowout victory.
In Game 2, missing key pieces and with all the odds stacked against them, they will need a miracle to tie up this series. If you ask Jimmy Butler, however, he has no doubt that his team will pull away with the win in the end.
This is the culture and mindset people have been raving about. Despite not having a tier-1 superstar, the Heat have achieved so much success in large part to their work ethic, fearlessness, and competitive nature.
Unfortunately, that might still not be enough tonight. Without Bam Adebayo and Gordan Dragic, Miami is already down two key players and the two Lakers stars are about as focused as they've ever been.
It will be interesting to see what happens. And while the odds don't seem to be in Miami's favor, they've been in this position before and it's never wise to count them out.
