Unless you've been living under a rock, you'll know that tensions are high between Jimmy Butler and the Timberwolves, especially for Andrew Wiggins.
It all started with him after Butler called him out for what sounded like a poor work ethic. Since then, things between the two have always been a little heated. And in his return to his former team, where the Sixers blew out the Wolves 149-107, Butler made an Instagram post that seemingly threw some shade at Wiggins and the ball club.
The "past" Butler is talking about is clearly referencing his time with Minnesota, an odd fit from the very start that ended in smoke and fire. He let the world know that he's putting it all past him now and looking ahead to the postseason, the Sixers, and maybe even 2019 free-agency.
Also, it almost looks like he is staring directly at Wiggins in the picture, in an almost "look at me now" kind of way.
Whatever your interpretation of the picture, you can't say there was any real value brought to either side in the Butler/Minnesota partnership. Just a whole lot of drama, embarrassment, and shade.
Good thing it's behind them now.
