As a 3x All-Star, 3x NBA Champion, 2x All-NBA player, and 2017 Defensive Player of the Year, it's fair to say that Draymond Green is an important piece to the Warriors' puzzle. His importance goes even beyond the stats, though.

On the court and in the locker room, Green has been a sort of motivator for the group, inspiring greatness and demanding excellence from all of his teammates.

So when he re-upped with the Warriors this past summer, the organization made sure to let him know how important he really was to the franchise.

"When Draymond signed his extension this summer, he called me to say thank you. And before he could say anything else, I said 'I only have one word to say to you" and there was a long pause. And he said 'What's that?'" "Statue."

At 29-years-old, there is still plenty of the story to write for Draymond and the Warriors. Following the end of their "superteam" era, the Dubs will have to lay all of their cards on the table this upcoming season to stay competitive in a loaded Western Conference.

Draymond will, obviously, play a big role in how they look moving forward. There is little doubt that he will step up to the challenge.
