Following Monday night's game against the Indiana Pacers, MVP frontrunner Joel Embiid took a major shot at star big man Myles Turner. Speaking on his matchup against Myles, the Philadelphia center proudly explained how much he has dominated against him in years past.

“He’s a great player and I have a lot of respect for him,” Embiid started. “I say this respectfully, that’s a matchup that I have dominated since I got to the league.”

It sounds vain and harsh, but Embiid isn't wrong. Over the years, he has done extremely well -- averaging over 28 points per game.

Embiid has dominated many matchups over the years but, this season, he seems to be on a special tear. Averaging 30 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game on 51% shooting, he has emerged as one of the best players in the NBA, and a sure-fire MVP candidate.

So while the star has talked a big game, he (amazingly) has been able to back it up with his play on the court.
