The Charlotte Hornets guard’ Kemba Walker was a hot topic of conversation during the end of the 2018 NBA trade deadline. The Hornets decided to resist all trade offers for Walker and he repaid them with an All-Star season.
However, Walker will soon be a free agent with the future of his career in Charlotte uncertain.
Sam Amick of The Athletic suggested that many experts around the league are expecting that Walker will eventually leave the Hornets at the end of the season.
"At this point, based on scuttlebutt around the league but without direct clarity from his side, it feels like he's more likely to leave than stay," wrote Amick.
The Hornets chances of a playoffs appearance this season is unlikely which is more reason for Kemba Walker to leave. It would be an incredible loss for the Hornets if he does intend on leaving considering his recent performances.
There’s been no word on where a possible landing spot for Walker may be but there will be a lot of teams that will be chasing the star Hornet if he announces he wants to leave.
Walker has been averaging a career-high 25.0 points per game this season and will be a very valuable offensive player for any NBA team next season.
