Over his 8-year tenure with Charlotte, Kemba Walker wasn't exactly the poster-boy for success.

While his individual numbers were great, and he was the de-facto leader of his club, the Hornets achieved very little during his years there.

With the Celtics, Walker is getting his first taste of true contention, and perhaps no instance spells it out more than his win over LeBron James last night.

In his previous 8 seasons, Kemba never won a game against James, he was 0-28 all-time. Last night's 139-107 blowout victory over the Lakers was his first against the King.

Walker finished with 20 points, four rebounds, and seven assists. He was 8-of-13 from the field, 2-of-4 from deep, and 2-of-2 from the free-throw line.

With the Celtics currently 4th in the East, and Walker likely headed to the All-Star game, Kemba is on track for his best season as a pro. This campaign, he's averaging 22 points, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds on 44% shooting.

But how far can he take his team in the postseason? With very little experience in the playoffs, Kemba will have a lot of obstacles to overcome this spring. But if their dominating win over the Lakers proves anything, it's that the Celtics stand a chance against anyone in the league.
