Kendrick Perkins has a big problem with people overlooking Trae Young’s incredible performances this 2021 NBA playoff. The young guard has been tearing teams apart, eliminating the No. 4 seed New York Knicks in the first round before taking a 3-2 lead in front of the Eastern Conference top seed Philadelphia 76ers.

During the Atlanta Hawks’ 26-point comeback to defeat the Sixers, Perkins was in awe of Young. The guard dropped 39 on the Knickerbockers, confirming he is a menace to whoever is in front of him. Still, even after having these incredible performances, people don’t seem to appreciate Young talents.

Well, Perkins had enough of that. He took to Twitter to praise the player for dominating Ben Simmons and the Sixers in Game 5.

“Trae Young looks like an All-NBA player tonight got Damn it. I told y’all it was an Ice Storm in June and Philadelphia was one of the cities that were getting it the worse. Ice Trae brought a 39 piece wing dinner lemon pepper Lou style to Ben Simmons and the 76ers! Carry on…”

Moreover, he called out the NBA community for not talking much about the 22-year-old, comparing his treatment to Luka Doncic’s around the league.

Trae has earned his stripes this season. Just like Devin Booker, he is in his first playoffs ever, balling out every night. You can say he has more help than Luka does, but Young is doing everything he can to give his team a W.

He has become the villain for the Knicks and Sixers, trash-talking rival players and fans and backing it up with his game. That is the best part of his playoffs run, but not everybody wants to acknowledge that.
