Kendrick Perkins On Who Is The Best Player - LeBron James Or Kevin Durant: "The Gap Is So Huge That It's Like The Gap Between The Hairline Of Stephen A. Smith And His Eyebrows."

Somehow, someway, Kendrick Perkins has taken down Shannon Sharpe and Nick Wright as the ultimate LeBron James defender and fan in the media, which is a lot to say.

Ever since he retired from the league and decided to pursue a career as an analyst, Kendrick Perkins has only fired hot takes, criticized former teammates, and laud LeBron James every single time he has the chance to do it, even when the conversation isn't centered around LeBron.

That's why it wasn't surprising to see him take LeBron even ahead of his lifelong teammate Kevin Durant when talking about the best player in the league, even taking a light jab at Stephen A. Smith, who said that there's no gap between Durant and LeBron:

"Well, to me, it's not even a debate. There is a gap and it's a huge gap. The gap is so huge that it's like between the hairline of Stephen A. Smith and his eyebrows. That's how huge the gap is. Is that large and let me tell you why: Because LeBron James' résumé speaks for himself and right now I'm looking at everybody else and LeBron James is backpedaling across the finish line while everyone else has like to laps left to go," Perkins said.

Perkins took it to his Twitter account to double-down on his take and even though he gave Durant his flowers, he still said that James should be on a tier of his own:

Perkins has had his back-and-forths on social media with Durant lately and KD even called him a sell-out. Kendrick is clearly biased most of the time so we should take his words with a grain of salt.

Then again, coming from a guy who saw Kevin Durant work on his craft, who was next to him when he blossomed as one of the league's greatest scorer ever and who was even carried to the NBA Finals by him, his words definitely hit different.
