The NBA will likely not make a return for at least another month, but the most recent projections by experts seem to indicate that the league may not resume action until June.
Whether they pick up where things left off or jump straight to the playoffs, nobody knows what to expect in a scenario where the postseason doesn't begin until at least two months after its usual starting date.
Interestingly, in the East, it could mean the possible return of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant for the Nets, who have been dealing with injury for the majority of the 2019-20 season. In the event of a three-month hiatus from action, it could give both players the time they need to recover and return to the court in time to make a Finals run.
Obviously, Durant and Irving are one of the best duos in the NBA -- even though we have yet to see them on a court together. Durant is still working his way back after tearing his Achilles in the Finals, and Irving with dealing with problems of his own that have jeopardized his season as well.
With the two of them back, healthy, and playing together, one can only imagine their potential in the 2020 Eastern Conference playoffs.
