Golden State Warriors’ Kevin Durant has been the center of attention of the media once again this year. Everyone is wondering will KD stay in Golden State or look for a new franchise to play for once the 2019 playoffs are finished.

Recently, Durant posted a video explaining how he grew up loving basketball and idolizing superstars of the game such as Scottie Pippen and Vince Carter. He also mentioned that he would have loved to be a part of the Los Angeles Lakers when both Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal were at their peak.

Kevin Durant made it clear that it wasn’t the 2001 Lakers team either, he wishes that he could have played for the side that included Eddie Jones and Nick Van Exel. The two-time Finals MVP believes that the team had a lot of youth and potential and it’s a team that he would have fit into very well.

There’s a very good chance that Durant could have turned that particular Lakers team into a championship team as he would be the closer that they needed. KD is one of the best shooters in the modern game and if things go to plan this season, Durant may walk away with his third consecutive championship ring.

For now, we’ll have to wait to see how the rest of the 2019 season plays out before we know what Kevin Durant’s next move is.
