Kevin Durant On If The Phoenix Suns Were A Test For The Nets: "I Think We Were A Measuring Stick For Them."

The Brooklyn Nets overcame a big challenge on Sunday when they faced the Phoenix Suns, a dangerous team that currently ranks 2nd in the West. It was a very good duel from the beginning until the end but Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant propelled the Nets to get a big win over Devin Booker and Chris Paul.

Seeing how well these teams play, a lot of people saw this match as a test for both of them. It was Durant who replied to the question if the Suns were a ‘measuring stick’ for his team and the 2x NBA champion turned things around, saying the Nets were the measuring stick for the Suns, a young team trying to compete this season.

"I think they look at us as a measuring stick, too,” Durant said after the game.

The Nets won the game, 128-119, with KD dropping 33 points coming off the bench. It was his return after missing one week of action due to a knee injury. Things are going great for the Nets, who keep winning even when they have missed members of their Big 3 more than once this campaign.

The Suns are a team that can make a lot of noise in the league in the next couple of seasons and this one, they’re already showing what they can do. With DBook and CP3 leading the way, we could see them making a huge leap, playing in the Finals in the future.

As for the Nets, they are still seen as the favorites to win it all this campaign and Durant knows whoever goes against them will have to work extremely hard to beat them.
