Kevin Durant is never shy about addressing people he doesn't like. Most recently, he told Skip Bayless that he does not like him, despite Bayless singing his praises and calling him the best player in the world. There is no moment where KD will hesitate to tell someone off who is getting under his skin.
And one Atlanta Hawks fan learned about this mid-game. During the Nets' game against the Atlanta Hawks, one overzealous Hawks fan told Durant to 'stop crying' while he was bringing the ball up the court. Instantly, KD clapped back and put the fan in his place.
"Shut yo a** up, motherf*cker."
That was far from the only tense moment during the game. KD got into it with Hawks superstar Trae Young, who even shoved Durant for trying to size him down. But Trae seemed to not harbor any ill feelings toward KD, as he clarified his respect and admiration for him.
Durant does not tolerate people disrespecting him and will respond if provoked. And in this instance, it was justified for Durant to respond to someone heckling him. But there were consequences for his actions, as Durant was fined $25,000 for the use of obscene language toward a fan. Clearly, the NBA did not feel KD needed to use the language he did.
KD thrives on animosity, as he recently expressed on Twitter. And even Skip Bayless said the same thing about Durant while responding to KD's dig at him on Twitter earlier this week. Durant has been on the receiving end of a lot of negativity from fans, so it comes as no surprise that he is ready to fire back at them when he gets the chance.
